Which silk duvet is the right one for you? Filling and differences

Summer, all-season, or winter duvet? Which silk duvet is the right one depends primarily on the room temperature, the season, and your personal need for warmth.

Which silk duvet is right for me?

Which silk duvet is the right one depends primarily on your personal need for warmth, the temperature in the bedroom, and the season. ORIGNEE® offers silk duvets in three warmth levels: as a light summer duvet, an all-season duvet, and a warming winter duvet.

Summer, all-season, or winter duvet?

Version Filling density Suitable for
Summer duvet (gentle) approx. 150 g/m² warm nights and people with a low need for warmth
All-season duvet (regular) approx. 300 g/m² transitional periods and normally tempered bedrooms
Winter duvet (warm) approx. 500 g/m² cold bedrooms and people with a higher need for warmth

The information serves as a guide. Personal perception of warmth can vary significantly.

Which silk duvet for people who sweat easily?

If you get warm easily at night, a light silk duvet with a lower filling weight is usually the more suitable choice. Our summer duvet made of mulberry silk has a filling density of approx. 150 g/m² and is designed for warm nights as well as a lower need for warmth.

Which silk duvet for people who get cold easily?

If you get cold easily at night, an all-season or winter duvet may be an option, depending on the room temperature. The all-season duvet made of mulberry silk offers more warmth than the summer duvet with approx. 300 g/m².

For cold bedrooms or a particularly high need for warmth, a winter duvet with a higher filling density is the warmer option.

Flexible combination for multiple seasons

Summer and all-season duvets can also be used seasonally: the light duvet in the warmer months and the all-season duvet in the transitional period. For designated models, both duvets can be connected to each other and used together as a particularly warm option.

Which size is the right one?

Common duvet sizes in Germany include 135 × 200 cm and 155 × 220 cm. For double beds, larger shared duvets are also available, depending on sleeping habits.

The 135 × 200 cm size is a common single duvet size. 155 × 220 cm offers additional length and is particularly suitable for taller people or for anyone who prefers more freedom of movement under the duvet.

Conclusion: Which silk duvet should I choose?

Summer duvet: if you get warm easily or are looking for a particularly light duvet.

All-season duvet: if you are looking for a versatile duvet for many months of the year.

Winter duvet: if you get cold easily or sleep in a cool bedroom.
